What is mimix
mimix is a technology that translates spoken and written words into sign language and text into speech.
The software consists of an engine that translates speech to text and then animates a 3D avatar with the equivalent sign language. The avatar will be ergonomically positioned on the screen and as a first phase will translate English to ASL (American Sign Language).
It is compatible on Android mobiles and Desktop
Our Goal
We aim to bridge the communication gap with a marginalized part of the society by providing a solution that will make interaction easier and more convenient within many environments such as Universities, Work place, Hospitals, Restaurants, Airports and Government Institutions. In addition, friends of the Hard of Hearing can learn Sign Language interactively through miroring the signs of the avatar and memorizing the most important words they want to say.
